Award Voucher System

The Challenge

Client had a reward system that gave employee bonuses for outstanding achievement.  However, they had no way of tracking what employee deserved the award, who received the awards, or even how much was being spent in this incentive program.  

Vitaver & Associates Inc. was retained to create a record and distribution system for the Award Vouchers. V & A immediately realized that the problem with the vouchers was systemic and proposed not only a tracking system but also added accountability.  V & A’s forward thinking afforded the client a better solution!  The client accepted the recommendations and received a stronger system than originally planned and achievable within their allocated budget. 

The Problem

• Client was unable to track employees bonuses and rewards (vouchers).
  
• None of the department managers and directors knew who was recognized for outstanding achievement, or how much was being spent on awards – no history was kept.
  
•  Exceptional performance by the employees could not be tracked since there were no records of who received awards.
  
• There was no accountability for the cost of the bonus program so actual costs could not be tracked.
  
• There was no reporting of the bonuses and therefore no way to analyze the efficacy or other factors of the program.
  
• The staff was not computer savvy so they required a user friendly interface to encourage compliance with the system.

The Solution

• Vitaver & Associates innovated a tracking system using a cash card that was useable anywhere.
  
• A database was created to track all aspects of the voucher transaction.
  
• Informative reports on the voucher program and employees could be produced on a regular basis to analyze the program.
  
•  Potential fraudulence was curtailed by the excellence of the tracking system and its accountability.
  
•  The user-friendly windows interface put the staff at ease when using the system.
  
•  Productivity was increased by 33% with the proper tracking as true performers were recognized and awarded effectively and fairly
