SharePoint 2010 Consultant
Est. Duration of 1st stage: 3+ months.
Additional Information: Part-time 20-30 hours/week on site.
Description: Our Client, a public education institution is looking for a SharePoint 2010 Consultant.
Responsibilities:
• Create a new public facing web site for the Client within the existing SharePoint 2010 infrastructure;
• Create/build custom SharePoint 2010 web publishing templates that will be used by several departments to input public-facing content;
• Implementation of a robust search feature;
• Configure an automated alphabetized site map feature;
• Set up a public calendar with categories and other specific features that will require a third party web part such as Bamboo’s Calendar Plus Web Part for student events;
• Assistance in the set up of SharePoint 2010’s web content management system with workflow, approvals, notification capabilities and publishing to allow for college staff to update specific content;
• Provide guidance and recommendations on the potential purchase of additional components when the out of the box SharePoint 2010 functionality does not meet our needs to meet all the objectives need to meet the marketing objective of the Client;
• Create SharePoint 2010 master pages based on pre-approved design;
• Develop and implement the navigation, site taxonomy and information architecture.
Requirements:
• Experience with SharePoint 2010;
• Experience in creating SharePoint 2010 web templates;
• Experience with SharePoint 2010 Content Management System (CMS);
• Experience with Bamboo’s Calendar Plus Web Part or similar software.
