Network Engineer
Est. Duration of 1st stage: 1 year.
Onsite: On location at the Client’s site 100% of the time. No telecommuting or remote work.
Additional Information: Health Care and Benefits Available. Subject to call after hours work and/or emergency duties.
Description: Our Client, a government health organization is looking for a Network Engineer for their IT department.
Responsibilities:
• Perform a continuous review of overall computer operating system performance utilizing interactive and batch monitoring software products to ensure balance of workload over mass storage devices and optimal CPU utilization;
• Install patch updates on enterprise platforms;
• Work with vendor technical specialists in modifying, correcting and installing vendor provided software;
• Assist in developing and test backup and disaster recovery plans;
• Monitor Footprints Ticketing System for ticket assignment and provide technical support and troubleshooting to resolution;
• Create other reports, diagrams, and documentation as needed/ requested.
Requirements:
• Experience with Windows administration;
• Experience with Active Directory, User Provisioning, Group Policy Objects, Share and NTFS permissions, DNS, WINS, and DHCP;
• Experience with Microsoft Office;
• Experience with Unix / Linux administration (preferred);
• BS Degree (MIS or related field) or 5+ years of experience administrating Windows systems in an Enterprise Platform Support environment;
• US Citizens and Permanent Residents only.
