Project Manager
Onsite: On location at the Client’s site 100% of the time. No telecommuting or remote work.
Additional Information: Health Care and Benefits Available.
Description: Our Client, a leading provider of customized healthcare administrative software products and services, is currently looking for a Project Manager.
Responsibilities:
• Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters;
• Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects;
• Establishes work plan and multi-disciplinary staffing for each phase of project, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel;
• Manages project supervisors/leaders assigned to specific projects;
• Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority;
• May manage sub-contractors and their workforce;
• Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget;
• Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required;
• Prepares project reports for management, client, or others;
• Confers with project personnel to provide technical Function advice and to resolve problems.
Requirements:
• 5+ years experience in information technology with knowledge of an SDLC methodology;
• PMP desirable;
• Knowledge of the health insurance business desirable;
• Bachelors degree in business or computer science preferred or equivalent experience.
