Windows System Administrator
Est. duration of the 1st stage: 6 weeks.
Onsite: On location at the Client’s site 100% of the time. No telecommuting or remote work.
Additional Information: Health Care and Benefits Available.
Description: Our Client is looking for Windows System Administrator.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and administer all Windows based servers for the enterprise environment;
• System performance analysis, tuning and capacity planning for both production and non-production environments;
• Adhere to IT access-management incident response and change control procedures;
• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure devices, priority 1 support and on-call duties;
• Is responsible for the optimal operation of Windows infrastructure enterprise – e.g., AD,Win2003,2008, VMware ESXi 4, Linux and virtualization in general;
• Management of windows servers in data center, which includes Hardware installation, server installation and racking and server OS builds;
• Follow established enterprise development and design standards, guidelines and processes.
Requirements:
• Experience in Windows Administration (5+ years);
• Experience with Windows Server (2003-2008) running on 32 and 64 bit hardware in large enterprise environment;
• Experience creating specifications for Hardware purchasing;
• Experience in Blade Server installation and configuration with VMware;
• Experience with Microsoft based networking technologies such as DNS, DHCP, SMTP, HTTP,SNMP, TCP/IP;
• Experience with enterprise scale Windows technologies such as Active Directory, IIS, Windows Clustering and Virtualization
• Experience with VMware ESXi 4 (preferred);
• Experience with Linux in a production environment (preferred);
• Experience with one or more enterprise class storage systems (NetApp, STK) (preferred);
• US Citizens and Permanent Residents only.
