IBM System Programmer
Onsite: On location at the Client’s site 100% of the time. No telecommuting or remote work.
Additional Information: Health Care and Benefits Available.

Responsibilities:
• This position reports to the Director of System Engineering and is responsible for managing the z/OS and z/VM operating systems across multiple LPARS;
• Secondary emphasis is on RACF administration, performance/capacity tuning & reporting and ISV software installs and administration;
• System network design and configuration at operating system level required;
• Storage management, system backup/restore, tape encryption, disaster recovery planning;
• Support Incident and Change Management processes;
• Provide metrics tracking operational performance and quality of services delivered;
• Assist Data Center Operations to ensure SLAs are met;
• Coordinate system modifications with IT and business unit managers.
Requirements:
• 5 years previous experience as an IBM z/OS system programmer;
• 3 years previous experience as an IBM z/VM system programmer;
• Expert understanding CICS, HSM/SMS;
• Strong knowledge of IBM storage concepts;
• Experience with CICS, VSAM, zLinux, storage administration and HSM/SMS desired;
• Works efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities to produce high quality material with meticulous attention to detail;
• Strong customer service orientation in both internal and external interactions, and looks for opportunities to provide the highest quality service;
• High degree of creative thinking;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
