Testing:

Testing is paramount for V&A. We are obsessive about conducting rigorous tests. We test in an environment that mirrors real world conditions as close as possible. We will stress test every object at each step extensively for days and/or millions of transactions before deployment.

White-box, black-box, regressive, volume and other tests are performed according to the application.

We use existing testing tools and/or the ones we build ourselves.

Hardware is tested for reliability, response time, bottlenecks, uptime, recovery, component hot-swapping, redundant power, ventilation, etc.

Software is tested for reliability, capacity, error handling, data validation, consistency, irregular termination and recovery, backup routines, archiving, purging, etc.

User issues and error logs will be kept for review. We go as far as creating a complete audit trail with automatic notifications to administrators via email/pager or other alarms, according to the severity and the user’s preferences. Issue escalation will be built-in when no response or inadequate response is provided.
